WELL!
I just compleeted my year 12 HSC Trials! and live to tell the tale. Long story short: It was stressfull, went good in some aspects, bad in others. My Ancient and Modern history exams caused me the most pain, both with the studying and enduring 3 hours of constant source annalysis and essay writing, but they weren't quite as bad as I thought, however I'll judge that when I get results back. Drama and English I'm unsure about, one of those things where I wont know untill I get my results back, but they at least weren't too stressfull. Art was by far the most interesting of the exam, sometimes I love seeing the stuff they put infront of us and expect us to annalyse. This exam we got a a series of coloured steal milk jugs, and were asked to make a statement on the artists practices, and honestly, this was the first time I've ever been compleetly lost for words in my attempt to answer an art question - I honestly can't even remember what I wrote. I'm sure someone out there will read this and think the answer is compleetly obvious, but however I look forward to seeing what the answer was intended to be!
My practical trial results came back! I did well on my group peice with 9/10 for voice and 9/10 characterisation. My group as a whole unfortunantly got 7/10 for our concept, but we'll have to work on that before HSC. My Individual Project - which is my Promotional design for ' Private Lives' I can proudly say i got 100% for! I honestly thought after my interview that they didnt give me any time to express any of my concepts or justify any of my decisions, however it appears perhaps I didn't need to!! So I at least don't need to worry about fixing what I've already done, and can move onto the sections I haven't compleeted - which are mostly theory and press releases which It much less fun! - I still do plan to load up some of my work on my Program, but with everything going on its been hard to find time. However perhaps tomorrow if im feeling up to it!!
No furthur updates on my art project... I need to get some models together to finish off a few more of my shots, and when Im back at school next week Im going to have to start cutting the peices out - which is really quite ammusing as I have no talent in the area of woodwork and couldnt cut a straight line to save my life! but being the stubborn person I am, I will try anyway.
As for anything else, well theres hasn't really been much time for anything else. Although I did go and see "An Evening with Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin" the other week. Was absolutly amazing! and great to finally get the chance to see Patti LuPone perform live. I beleive that was the one day/night I allowed myself off during my "holiday" period. I Luckily now have 4 days to myself while the remainder of the trial exams run their course, and I plan to use them to relax - read - and possibly watch some of my old charmed dvds.
Also a little note to anyone who actually visits my page. Thankyou so much
xx
